Description: A very simple hardware event handler for DIET-PC
 This package is deprecated.  Hotplug and udev have been replaced
 by Busybox's mdev applet starting at initscript 3.5 / busybox
 1.17.1.  This package remains essential for initscript 3.4 and
 earlier, but is a waste of space when using 3.5 or later.

 The package's main purposes are to coldplug USB devices at system
 boot-up, and to support older Linux kernels (between 2.6.0 and
 2.6.14 inclusive).  It is also needed for runtime driver firmware
 loading.

 This package doesn't resemble "real" hotplug (from the hotplug
 distribution) very much.  Unlike Debian hotplug, it coexists
 peacefully with udev.
