The 3.2.27 kernel provided here is a custom build for QEMU "hardware" that has no real-world equivalent; it supports the QEMU VersatilePB target, but using a Cortex A9 CPU. This is a side effect of a not-quite-successful attempt at creating a stable ARMHF VM (the Versatile Express target isn't reliable, mostly because of its unsatisfactory SD disk). The Cortex A9 CPU ought to perform a little better - even in emulation - and support >4GiB of RAM. Sort of. The disk supports the official 2.6.32-5 kernel also, so you can use the provided 2.6.32-5 zImage and initrd instead, if you wish.
